Time for an oil change?
- The maintenance light or oil light is on
- It has been 5,000+ miles (or 6 months) since your last one
- The oil on the dipstick is dark and gritty
- Ticking noise on cold start
- You bought a used car and do not know when it was last serviced

Oil change questions, answered straight
How often should I really change my oil?
For most cars driving Dallas traffic: every 5,000 miles with conventional or blend, up to 7,500–10,000 with full synthetic. Stop-and-go summer heat is hard on oil — do not stretch it too far.
Do I need full synthetic?
If your manufacturer requires it, yes. If not, a quality blend is often the smart-money choice. We will tell you what your specific engine calls for.
Do I need an appointment for an oil change?
No — swing by during shop hours. If you call first we can usually have you in and out even faster.
